Claudia Suan, LMSW

Claudia Suan is a licensed clinical social worker providing therapy and counseling services to young children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, loneliness, and relationship difficulties. Claudia’s warm, compassionate, and culturally attuned approach motivates clients to understand their feelings and behaviors, find new ways to cope with stress and anxiety, manage anger and sadness, discover new ways to solve problems, and get “unstuck” from unhealthy patterns. 

Claudia is especially adept at helping patients through various life transitions such as career change, separation, leaving home for college, and divorce. She helps patients achieve their personal goals, improve self-esteem and self-acceptance, and deepen communication and relational skills. 

Holding a Master of Social Work from New York University, a certificate in Family Therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family, and a Circle of Security trained facilitator, Claudia is skilled in various evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Dedicated to nurturing healthy emotional development across the lifespan and strengthening one’s capacity to have secure and happy relationships, Claudia’s practice reflects her deep commitment to guiding children through their developmental milestones and helping adults move toward more satisfying, balanced, and connected lives.
