Dr. Alexandra Silverman
As a psychologist interested in you living a full life, Dr. Silverman’s approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, active, and integrative. She will meet you where you are and help you work through the challenges you’re facing, exploring and making meaning of your past and current experiences, while you develop the tools to be more in charge of your life.
Skilled in cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-based, mindfulness, dialectic-behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches, she uses her expertise to build a strong relationship with patients. Her patients find her warm and clinically sharp, as she helps patients understand themselves more deeply and build skills for the life they want.
Dr. Silverman specializes in working with teens, adults, and couples, helping them improve well-being and self-esteem, performance at work and in school, and connection in relationships. She has expertise in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and trauma, and has specialized training in eating disorders and body image concerns.
She teaches and supervises at the doctoral level and conducts psychoeducational evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities, and differential diagnosis.
